Floral Sunnies!

I am so excited for spring!! I went outside to get the mail today and 95% of the snow is completely melted. This is great news because I live in a place where it snows truckfulls. Goodbye sweatpants and sweaters, hello shorts and bikinis! Speaking of bikinis, along with clothes it also means better running weather. A week or so ago I started running outside (yep, I got tired of just blogging) and almost slipped because of the ice. After dinner tonight I plan to run, can you believe one gets this excited over great weather?

Lately I've been going crazy over floral (I've always been a floral-kind-of-girl, but it's now more then ever). I was at sunglass hut a couple weeks ago and saw these amazing signature ray-bans and they were floral, which got me thinking what other floral sunnies are out at this time of year.

Forever 21 XXI Footage

have absolutely nothing to do but blog today because I'm visiting some different people in the hospital. I'm going to try to keep this post as fashion/beauty related as possible.

First and foremost, I am so excited that I made Cargo's Blog du Jour!! Thanks Cargo!! (:

CARGO Cosmetics: Thursday's Blog Du Jour: Callie "Timeless Fashionista"

Thursday's Blog Du Jour: Callie "Timeless Fashionista"
Here's what Callie from Timeless Fashionista had to say about CARGO!

I first learned about Cargo through a youtube video Miley Cyrus did
mentioning the company. She talked about Cargo's all natural and oil
free makeup and that made me really want to check out the company.
About 2 months ago I purchased my first Cargo products from Ulta, both
the blu_ray pressed powder and foundation which are my all-time
favorite products. After reading some online reviews for the bronzers
I decided to try those as well. The thing I love about Cargo is the
natural looking makeup and the fact nothing is overdone. Plus, since
I've started using Cargo I've realized my breakouts have decreased!
By far Cargo has the best natural face products!

Thanks, Callie, for your wonderful review!

I finally got the chance to try the Yoyo Lipgloss they sent me and I must say it's delicious! They are all scented, has a luscious taste, and has great pigment! Enter my giveaway for your chance to try Yoyo Lipgloss!

Lush Solid Shampoos

I've used Lush's solid shampoos for a while now, and they are actually quite an investment. One bar lasts 4-6  months depending on how often you use it and runs $9-$10 each. However, my lush SA told me it can last longer with proper care. Here are some tips for caring for your lush products, pretty much this goes for all lush in general...

1. Always always always, buy the lush tins. You can often get the tins for free depending on how many extra tins/bars you buy. If there isn't a lush tin that fits your item, you can use a plastic baggy and that will work the same but preferably the tin is better because it's more "green" and re-usable.
2. Don't just have your lush laying around or in the shower. If you keep it in the shower it WILL melt, along with pretty much so every other lush product. If you leave it laying out it will get junk on it and expire sooner.

They come in tons of different colors, and they all have their own special "use". Personally, my favorite is the Karma Komba Solid Shampoo, which is their bestseller.

"You can't get enough of our signature Karma fragrance, wash with this solid shampoo bar to perfume your locks so you can smell it all day long. Along with scalp-pleasing patchouli and elemi, we add orange and lemon oils to cleanse hair and increase shine. This one is great for detangling messy hair, so use it if you are the type that gets your hair all caught up in knots (use Jungle afterwards for extra detangling and conditioning action)."

Personally, the reason why I love this soap is because my hair gets really tangly in the shower and it kinda works as a pre-conditioner. However, I do recommend still using a conditioner. This specific solid shampoo smells delicious but some of the others are horrible. Yet, they do the trick and is a great natural product.

In my opinion, with the amount you spend on the bar/tins, it's worth it. I know I can go through 1-2 bottles of shampoo a month. If you add it all up, by far the lush solid shampoo bars will win with price. Once I get all of the other awaiting giveaways done, I might do a personal giveaway for a bar and tin :).

Thanks for reading.. follow my blog and don't forget to enter my giveaway!

Jessica Stroup's Style

Jessica Stroup has to have the most amazing, classic style ever. Her main style colors are based around black, white, and grey. Then she pops in a little bit of color, uses tons of jewelry, and carries small messenger bags/pouches/clutches and calls it good. I just love the look, it's so classy.

Which is your favorite look from above? Expect another post later this week! Remember to enter my giveaway. Click, here

Cargo Cosmetics Overview

People have been asking me how I like Cargo Cosmetics (knowing I tried some of their products), so I decided I would do a post sharing my opinion on each product. This is my honest opinion and I purchased all of these on my own. If you're interested in purchasing any of the products mentioned click the product link or go to cargocosmetics.com.

Retail: $30
-Out of all the pressed powders I've tried (drugstores, high end) this has been my favorite. It matches my skin tone perfectly and the amazing part about it is there is only four shades to choose from, so it was really easy to find the one right for me. When putting this product on, it goes on nice and natural looking and not cakey. Sometimes I just put on a moisturizer and this and it's enough, without adding liquid foundation.

Retail: $34
-First off, you get tons for your money. You only pay $34 and get a whole plastic tube full of foundation. I've had mine for 2 months now (as my everyday foundation) and I'd say I've used right around 20% of it (and for my past record that's pretty good). You only need a pea size. However, my little tip is to take dabs of the foundation and put it around your face and then brush it in to your skin. That way you're sure to cover the whole face, with equal amounts and of course not wasting any product. The foundation isn't cakey and gives off a really natural glow. Cargo's foundation is oil-free therefore, it's not going to clog any pores and cause breakouts unlike other foundations.

Retail: $26
-I've only used this a few times since I just purchased it a while ago. However, I find it very helpful. I wouldn't say I use it as a foundation because I either use foundation or I don't. Therefore, I'm using this as a really light concealer. As my other concealer, I'm using Mac's Studio Finish and that leaves a nice smooth surface just like this. However, this is more liquid like, even more than Clinique's All About Eyes concealer (in my opinion Clinique's has horrible coverage after a few hours). It's like a foundation but made for covering things up. I hate it when concealers start cracking and getting all discolored after a few hours and I yet to see this product do that. I'd definitely say Mac and Cargo is a toss up for first.

Retail: $28
-Everyone raves over Cargo's bronzers and personally, I find them fabulous. For me, they replace blush but adds more of a unique touch due to the multiple colors. Honestly, I prefer more of the bronze look over the really blushy look. Cargo's bronzers are really high pigmented and gives a perfect glow. I put the product on before my powder and after my foundation so it sets in and gives me even more of a natural look. With so many different colors (cable, coral, echo, miami, and sunset), you're sure to find one you love. I can't think of another bronzer/blush I love more!

Retail: $30
-I don't know much about Cargo's brushes but they seem to be of great quality and really sturdy. When I used my foundation brush it went on really smooth and the turn out was gorgeous (this was my first Cargo brush). There was no shedding or fall out pieces. It's hard to compare this brush because I've only tried several brush brands but I would say it's compared to Lancome brushes.

I can't really pin point which is my absolute favorite because they are all equally good and are used for different things. However, when I run out I will definitely be re-purchasing.

Thanks for reading and check back later for a giveaway I will be doing tonight (2 winners!!).

Runway Weekly: March 2nd, 2010

Runway Daily: March 2nd, 2010

Items in this set:
Oh, Hi There, Perfect Pink Lips and Cheeks (Plus: Another Ballerina...

PS: I decided doing this daily was too much so I changed it to weekly. Hopefully every Monday I can continue making these posts.

Outfit of The Day

Along with blogging more, another thing I want to do is more outfit of the day posts. Why? It just seems like I actually take my time getting ready knowing I'm going to do a post like this.

My makeup/hair (I didn't do anything to my hair other then dry it, brush it out, and throw the headband in)...

Ella Moss: Pocketed Lace T-Shirt
Hudson Jeans: Dark Wash
UGG: Black Shorts
Forever21: Black Bow Headband
Forever21: Black Faux Leather Side Bag
Tiffany & Co: Sterling Silver Round Tag Bracelet
Jac Vanek: Black Bracelet
2 Black Beaded Bracelets
Sterling Silver Cross Necklace
Burberry: Eyewear

And the best thing about the makeup is.. I used all (if not all, most) of my project pan makeup! I've never really tried doing any kind of project pan before but I'm confident that this one is going to be a success.

I don't really know when I'm going to be done with all of it but I hope soon. I know the biore eye gel, mini urban decay primer potion, and the neutrogena foundation is almost done. However, I really want to re-buy the neutrogena foundation because I actually like it on my face but I tend to use too much of it. I think when I was using it all the time it only took me 1 1/2 months to almost finish it off. I don't know where this is going to go but I'll keep my blog updated. How exciting. :) haha

Project 10 Pan

Tons of people have been doing these kinds of posts and videos so I decided I was going to join in. Let's face it, I buy too much makeup and never use any of it up. By the time I get a quarter of it used, it's old. Not too old to use, but just old. Until I can completely use up the products below, I'm not going to buy anymore makeup unless 1. It's a gift/sent by a company for review uses or 2. I run out of powder or moisturizer, which I probably won't because I have backups :). Anyways, I'm really going to try to stay true to this "Project Pan". Here are my Project 10 Pan products...

Biore Cooling Eye Gel
Avon Mascara in Brown
Clinique Lipstick in Raspberry Glace
ELF Hypershine Gloss in Joy
Liplights in Mocha Mousse
Mini Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer
Covergirl Blue Mascara in Black
Neutrogena SkinClearing Blemish Treatment Foundation
Wet n Wild Purple Tones Eyeshadow Palette
Clinique Concealer in 01

How about you? Do you see a Project Pan in your near future? Let me know in the comments..

Denver Haul

Bonjour (isn't that like the first thing you learn in french? anyways), If you read my denver vacation post you would know about the haul I was planning to do. It's taken me some time to take the photos and get ready to finally put everything together but it's finally done. The hard part is over! I am debating if I should list prices so if you are interested in tracking something down or knowing the price you can email me, "at me" on twitter (calliecallie), or even leave a comment and I will respond. I don't want to ever come across as bragging so if I share the price of something, don't take offense to it because most style/makeup bloggers do! :) Well, here's what I bought/received on my vacation...

Harajuku in Lil' Angel

Cargo blu_ray Pressed Powder in 10

Cargo Bronzer in Beach Blush

Cargo One Base in 01

-When I used this, it worked best for a really light concealer. By all means it works for either but I don't use it as a foundation. One of my biggest pet peeves in a concealer is when it starts getting all liney and cracked looking towards the end of the day. This goes on super smooth--it's almost like a foundation but works as a concealer.

Cargo Foundation Brush

YSL Mini Mascara

Tiffany Round Tag Bracelet

Forever 21 Leather Side Bag

-I think this puppy (haha) was only like 12 buck.. when I saw it, it was so reasonably priced and I couldn't afford not to buy it!

Forever 21 Cream Sequined Sweater

Forever 21 Gray Lace Top

Forever 21 Studded Gray Sweatshirt

-The inside is SO soft + stylish!

Forever 21 Gray La Vie En Rose Sweatshirt

Forever 21 Pink Skirt

-I got this for like 6 bucks (it was clearanced) and it was like my "big buy" of the trip, haha.

Red Lock and Key Earring Set

Nordstrom Ella Moss Pocketed Lace T-Shirt

-This shirt was a total impulse buy, I'd never seen it before but fell in love with it immediately when I saw it on the hanger. I found a different shirt in the bp section that was half the cost but since the ella moss aisle was right across the way, I kept going back to the ella moss. It has to be one of my favorite things in my closet right now!

Nordstrom Teal Flower Earrings

Louis Vuitton Speedy Strap

-This speedy strap is really rare and I almost fainted when I saw it at the denver louis vuitton. It was like my biggest splurge (besides the wallet because no one could imagine spending $200 on a strap.. no not a belt, a stinkin strap!). But it's really cute and I'm tired of carrying my speedy around by the vachetta because I really want it to obtain a mid patina. OCD much? Lol! I got the last one in the store!!! :)

Louis Vuitton Insolite Coin Purse

-This is my only louis vuitton wallet and I have wanted one for a long time. It's kinda funny, my brother got his first wallet so it's kinda like we got them together but of course his was a mens style. I was thinking about getting a zippy or the ludlow but when I inquired about this wallet she again told me I got the last one! Online it says the pocket (above the credit card holders) was made for papers but I think it works great for coins and possibly receipts. I don't really know what they mean by papers but I see it more as a coin holder then anything. Plus, unlike the ludlow or zippy the interior is orange!  How cool is that?!?

Vertigo Trench

I hope you enjoyed reading about my lil' (harajuku flashback!) treasures. Leave me a comment and thanks for following!

Much ♥LOVE,
